Tony James Perille was so fascinated with the West at the early age of 4 he somehow got Santa's attention and received a long awaited wish. Little did anyone know that Santa would be bringing cowboy boots, a hat, 6 guns, as well as a bow and arrow set and even a TeePee. This ignighted such a love for the West and it even fuels his present day art and life.
As time went on Tony joined the American Mountain Men. In this association he learned authentic mountain man survival skills. He participated in re-inactments of the authenticity of this period (pre 1840) including dress.
From his association with this group, he was inspired to fulfill a childhood dream. On his 37th birthday he rode 450 miles on horseback from Heber, AZ to San Mateo, NM. He took this trip in June in pre 1840 Buckskin clothing and a saddle from that era, which he custom made himself. The only money he took was a pre 1840's coin.
Tony is a gifted artist and extremely talented with his hands. His love of the Old West, its culture and his love of horses made working with leather, as a medium for his art.
Tony has 45 years of experience working with leather and has decided to offer his fine products to the public.
Tony states, "My Heart is in accuracy, authenticity and fine craftsmanship."
While men of this age are trying to integrate themselves and find the Fire within, Tony is considered lucky. He is already "In Touch" with his "Wild Man", the spirit of a frontiersman, adventurer, romantic and trail blazer. It is with this sense that he designs his "Western Wonders."
